A lot of people forget that music videos can actually be great vehicles for short form storytelling. That’s probably because we don’t really have a music video industry like we did in the 80’s and early 90’s (Thanks MTV). Anyways, the Russian band, Leningrad, has a new video for their song that is so freakin insane that it really belongs here in the Buzzpop section of our site instead of just being a WTF post.
The original version of the video shows the funny and horrific details of a circus disaster, starting from the end and ending with the inciting incident. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but there are clowns, tigers, decapitations, fire, sex, and monkeys! If you find the original video a little hard to follow, I’ve posted the non-reverse version of it below that. That said, do yourself a favor and check out the original first.
