Archer is an amazing show. It’s crass and immature, but it’s hilarious and deserves tremendous kudos for the artistic lengths it has gone to re-invent itself multiple times. In the last few years, we’ve seen the team go from being spies to drug dealers, and finally private detectives in Hollywood. Season 8 keeps the detective angle going, but repositions the team back in 1947 for a noir adventure.
Archer is an FXX original animated, half-hour comedy based on the hardboiled private eye Sterling Archer. This season features his quest to find his partner’s killer in 1947 Los Angeles. However, the case turns into a deadly game of tug of war between Los Angeles’ most powerful crime bosses with every clue leading Archer deeper into a mystery involving kidnapping, prostitution and drug addiction.
