If you are looking for something beautifully dark, or darkly beautiful today, Brazilian artist, Marcel Ventura has just what you need. Drawing inspiration from the art of icons like Todd McFarlane and J. Scott Campbell, Marcelo has created twisted takes on pop culture icons that give you a very different take on them. Some illustrations, like the Buzz Lightyear/ Xenomorph pic is a dark-mash-up, while others, like Baby Yoda or Captain Planet use Ventura’s art to relay important messages.
Other shows and movies included in Marcel’s inspiration include: Power Rangers, The Little Prince, Scooby Doo, The Walking Dead, Disney’s Brave, The Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc., Stranger things, Rick and Morty, The Simpsons, Vamperina, Dumbo, The Joker, DBZ, Nightmare Before X-Mas, and many more.
