In a total fluff piece by The Dallas Morning News, Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback, Tony Romo, is said to have kindly befriended a homeless man who goes by the name Doc.
The story unfolds as Doc was trying to cash in change at a Cinemark theater in Dallas when Romo walked up and offered to pay his way into the movie. Once inside, Romo even waved Doc over to sit next to him and his friends.
Embarrassed Doc mentioned that he hadn’t showered in a few days.
In which Romo replied assuringly, “Don’t worry about that. I’m used to locker rooms.”
This is not the first time that Romo’s made news for being kind to random strangers. A couple of month ago Romo stopped on the side of the road to help a couple change their tire while he was on his way home.
For someone who’s worth $67 million dollars and shacking it up with Jessica Simpson, Romo is quite humble and down to earth. Don’t believe us, just ask Doc.
“For me, it was a blessing. It came at just the right time. It gave me some encouragement and faith in mankind. I just wanted to say thank you.”
