One of the few things that have been missing since Daniel Craig took over the mantle of James Bond is that none of his films have had Q! That’s about to change. Entertainment Weekly just published the very first image of the new Q, Ben Whishaw. This is a huge departure for the Bond series as every Q up until now has been a lot older.
Prior to Whishaw, the role of Q was played by Peter Burton for one film, Desmond Llewelyn for 16 films and then John Cleese for the last few Bond films with Pierce Brosnan.
Official Synopsis:
Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
