Despite the fact that Season 3 of FOX’s Lucifer ended a couple of weeks ago, and that the network has also decided to end the series on a major cliffhanger, they’ve decided to show two unaired episodes next Monday night. Before you get your hopes up about them resolving Chloe’s discovery at the end of the season finale, these are older episodes that have just been sitting in storage. In fact, one of them features Lucifer’s mother, so it’s at least a year old.
While it may not be the episodes fans were hoping for, it’s the ones they are getting, and coming out in numbers to watch them may make the series more attractive for pick-up by another network or streaming service.

The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
