The first time that the book Papillon was adapted for the big screen was in 1973, starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman, and with a screenplay written by Dalton Trumbo (yes, the one they made a movie about). This time around, the film stars Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek and it looks like it could be as riveting an adventure as the original.
