’21 Jum Street’ Film Adaptation In the Works

On a recent high with their Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Film, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are in negotiations to make their first live-action feature debut with an adaptation of the 1980s TV show “21 Jump Street.”

Jonah Hill is starring and executive producing with “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” co-writer Michael Bacall handling the script.

“Cloud” which garnered mostly positive reviews grossed $122.6 million domestically and was also written by Lord and Miller.

“21 Jump Street” is a TV show about a group of young cops working undercover in high school. No word on whether Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Office Tom Hanson.
