Not too long ago we reported that Paramount was planning another “Jackass” movie. However unlike the first two, this third installment was to be released unnecessarily in 3D. Well according to a newly released press release by Paramount, it’s now official. Moreover, it’ll officially come out next October 15, 2010.
Johnny Knoxville star/producer also had this to say, “We’re going to take the same 3D technology James Cameron used in Avatar and stick it up Steve O’s butt. We’re taking stupid to a whole new dimension.”
Johnny Knoxville and Co. are expected to begin filming late January with Dickhouse Production’s Jeff Tremaine directing and producing alongside Spike Jonze and Knoxville.
With the $64 million dollar success of “Jackass: The Movie” in 2002, and the $72 million dollar taking by its sequel, expectations are already building for the third extra ‘stupid’ installment.
The crew, while not confirmed, is expected to all return, which includes: Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man and Ryan Dunn.
