The popular Looney Tunes character Marvin the Martian is set to make his first ever big screen adaptation with director Alex Zamm and possibly Mike Myers set to voice Marvin. The film will be similar to “Garfield” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” featuring a blend between a CG Marvin and live-actors.
Former “Spin City” writers Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove are set to helm the script, which according to the LA Times, will see Marvin attempt to destroy Christmas, but becoming trapped in a gift box.
Although Myers has yet to sign, it’s reported that he’s on the team’s wish list to voice the always diabolical and every-frustrated Martian.
“Marvin The Martian” is not expected to hit theaters until next, next Christmas in 2011. The ever self-absorbed Bugs Bunny must be seething in jealousy.
