We know that Aliens are going to loom large at San Diego Comic Con this week and now we know that the next film in the saga has just wrapped.
Covenant, the film that serves as a direct sequel to Prometheus and the beginning of a real bridge back to the original Alien is directed by Ridley Scott, featured in the celebratory wrap photo with the film’s protagonist, Katherine Waterston.
Along with Waterston, the film stars Michael Fassbender, who is returning as David, as well as Noomi Rapace (probably a flashback), Billy Crudup, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Jussie Smollet, Amy Seimetz, and Danny McBride.
There’s a good chance that some footage might be hitting Hall H later in the week. If it does, we’ll have all the news here. In the meantime, we’ll just have to sit tight until Alien: Covenant hits theaters on August 4, 2017.
