There aren’t a lot of geeks out there who haven’t become better cooks because of the wit and wisdom of Alton Brown. A while back, the chef/ TV host had announced that we’d be seeing a return of his iconic cooking series, Good Eats, in the near future. We now know that the future is almost right now.
It was just announced in a new article on Food and Wine that the show will actually find new life in two different formats and on two different networks. First, beginning Monday, October 15 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, we will get Good Eats: Reloaded. The new series will actually take classic episodes of the original show and intercut them with new footage that updates techniques, fixes mistakes, and expands upon the material to bring it up to date. If that’s not enough for you, you aren’t alone. While there was no premiere date revealed, it was also announced that completely new episodes of Good Eats would be coming to the Food Network sometime in the near future.
But Good Eats: Reloaded is only a taste of future Eats to come. Brown is also working on a new series of Good Eats episodes set to hit the show’s original home, Food Network, in the near future.
