After the beating he took on his first live action feature, John Carter, Andrew Stanton is returning to what he does best, animation. That’s the news from Deadline today. There was some concern that it would be a while before he got another gig, after Disney lost over $200 million dollars on John Carter, but he’s back and working on Nemo 2 as part of a deal that will give him another chance to try a live action feature.
Stanton’s first Finding Nemo film raked in $867.9 million worldwide, PIXAR’s second biggest film. That doesn’t count the upcoming re-release in 3D, which will easily pop it over the $1 Billion dollar mark.
