This is the very first positive thing that we’ve heard about the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… and it is coming from one of the creators!
MTV chatted with TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman about the project and his comments are shocking… but in a good way.
“From what I’ve seen, it’s easily the best ‘Turtle’ movie yet. We’re talking ‘Raid: Redemption’-style fight scenes; we’re talking about epic ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ sort of effects.”
That sounds like it has potential, but it is hard to fit those words with the kids movie that we know we’ll be getting
He also had this to say on the film’s delay:
“A lot of people are worried we pushed the release date from December to May, but the 30th anniversary of the ‘Turtles’ is in May, so it worked out perfectly.”
