Jason Reitman’s previously announced Ghostbusters threequel is building up a pretty epic cast. Along with new cast members Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace, the movie has also snagged almost every living Ghostbuster including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver (there’s still no word on Rick Moranis). Now, Variety is announcing that Paul Rudd has joined the cast in an unnamed role.
Check out this video that Rudd posted earlier today on Twitter through the Ghostbusters Twitter account:
While no official details of the film have been released, Variety reports that the film will “be an extension of the original “Ghostbusters” and focus on a single mom and her family, with Coon playing the mom and Wolfhard playing her son.”
How this connects to the original trilogy has not yet been revealed.
