It takes a lot for a horror movie to excite us. When you start with producers like Guillermo del Toro, David Goyer, and J. Miles Dale and then add a cast that includes Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas, Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane, and Amy Madigan for a tail of Native American mythological horror, you’ve got our attention.
That’s exactly what we’re getting with Antlers, the story of a boy with a secret and a small town with a growing body count. The only bad thing we can see about this movie is that it doesn’t hit theaters until April 17, 2020.
In ANTLERS, a small-town Oregon teacher (Keri Russell) and her brother (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, discover that a young student (Jeremy T. Thomas) is harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences. Directed by: Scott Cooper Screenplay by: C. Henry Chaisson & Nick Antosca and Scott Cooper, based upon the short story THE QUIET BOY by Nick Antosca Produced by: Guillermo del Toro, p.g.a., David Goyer, p.g.a., J. Miles Dale,p.g.a.
