If you haven’t seen Mythic Quest on Apple TV+, you are missing out on a seriously good show that is already in its third season. Created by Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney and starring Rob McElhenney, Ashly Burch. Jessie Ennis, Imani Hakim. David Hornsby, Charlotte Nicdao, Danny Pudi, F. Murray Abraham, and Naomi Ekperigin, tells the story of the creators of Mythic Quest, a super-popular MMORPG. The series is fun, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt. Their Quarantine special might have been one of the best representations of what it was like to be stuck at home during the pandemic that we’ve seen brought to screen.
The new series is called Mere Mortals. It will feature entirely new characters and will explore the lives of employees, players, and fans who are impacted by the game at the center of Mythic Quest. It sounds like the new series will have a rotating cast and mainly focus on one-off storylines. We’ve seen Mythic Quest tackle the concept in the past and they’ve done an excellent job, including what might be the final performance of William Hurt.
