The Barbie movie has been in development hell for several years now. At one point it was even slated to have Amy Schumer as the lead in the film. Now that the movie has moved forward and Margot Robbie has been cast as the star, we are getting our first look at the Harley Quinn actress’ transformation.
In the new film, the Wolf of Wallstreet actress will star alongside of Ryan Gosling as Ken as well as Emma Mackey, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Alexandra Shipp, Issa Rae, Ritu Arya, Emerald Fennell, Hari Nef, Jamie Demetriou, Rhea Perlman, Ariana Greenblatt, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Connor Swindells. Greta Gerwig is directing the film and also co-wrote the screenplay with Noah Baumbach.
