There’d been some rumors lately about whether or not Ben Affleck would actually be directing the new Batman movie for Warner Bros. According to many reports, he said that he would refuse to direct if the script wasn’t up to snuff. Clearly he hasn’t read the scripts for the last couple DC movies he’s been in. I mean… They have been awesome. Right? Right??…

Last night Affleck took to the Jimmy Kimmel show, where he re-affirmed his dedication to helming the next caped Crusader film, while also giving a special shout out to fan boys who may have been a little overzealous.

“I’m gonna direct the next Batman, we’re workin’ on it. It’s one of those things that’s really frustrating because like with Live by Night, it took me a year and a half to write it and get it ready and I worked really hard, it’s just nobody gave a shit. No one was like ‘Where’s Live by Night?!’ But with Batman I keep getting the like, ‘Where’s the fucking Batman?!’ and I’m like ‘Bro I’m workin’, give me a second!”
