In the ever-shifting game of musical chairs that is the COVID-19 movie release schedule, Disney has just announced a new shift in several major films that are planned to hit theaters… eventually. Here’s what the new shift means for you:
- Black Widow will now be opening up on May 7, 2021. (Originally slated for spring of 2020)
- Eternals will now be opening on November 5, 2021. (Originally slated for 11/20 and then for 2/21)
- Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings is going to premiere on July 9, 2021. (Originally slated for 2/21).
While there are several other Marvel films in Limbo, the biggest one in question is the follow-up to Spider-man: Far From Home. That film was originally supposed to be almost done with filming right now. Instead, it will be picking up production at the beginning of the year. As of right now, it is still slated for a 12/17/21 release date, but we expect a shift towards 2022 in the near future.
