As if at least half of this announcement is any surprise, it still adds some nice meat to this long suffering project. Tim Burton has been working on this movie forever and now it really looks like he’s got a great cast together.
I wasn’t necessarily expecting Michelle Pheiffer to join up, but they did work really well together in ‘Batman Returns’.
As far as it goes with Helena Bonham Carter… what is the last Tim Burton movie that she didn’t play a part in? Granted, the two have children together and have lived together for years now… and it sounds like it would be her type of project anyways, so now we just have to see if the ink makes it onto the contracts.
Pfeiffer is in talks to play Elizabeth Collins Stoddard. Helena Bonham Carter will most likely end up as Dr. Julia Hoffman.
