Borderlands, the popular video game is getting it’s own movie adaptation thanks to the people over at Lionsgate.
The good news is that Lionsgate is making this movie. The bad news is that Avi Arad is producing. If you can think of any bad Marvel film before Kevin Feige came into the picture, it was almost always produced by Arad.
The Co-chairs of Lionsgate are saying this about the film:
“The ‘Borderlands’ games don’t pull any punches, and we’ll make the movie with the same in-your-face attitude that has made the series a blockbuster mega-franchise.”
It will be very interesting to see if they tone down the violence and R-Rated themes for the movie. They will probably bee keeping a close eye on the numbers for Mad Max Fury Road and Deadpool to help them make that determination.
