We’ve had characters get re-cast in the MCU, but there’s a good chance that we might be looking a the first instance of someone playing two different characters within Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.
A new report from Variety has Captain Marvel/ Crazy Rich Asians actress, Gemma Chan in talks for a major role in the upcoming Eternals film starring Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Tyree Henry, Richard Madden, and Kumail Nanjiani.
If she joins the film, it will be very unlikely that she will reprise the role of blue-skinned Star Force member, Minn-Erva. Instead, she’ll probably be playing the role of Karen, who will be central to the story. The good news for fans is that she’ll be playing a whole other species, so it shouldn’t prove to be that confusing for anyone.
In an additional note, it’s now being reported that Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk), is also in talks for an unnamed role in the film.
The Eternals hits theaters on Nov. 6, 2020.
