Cobra Kai season four is set to hit Netflix in December, but the streaming network is so happy with how their Youtube Premium transplant has performed that they just went ahead and greenlit season five, three months ahead of the new season premiere.
Deadline is reporting that, partially based on the series’ four Emmy nominations, the show is now set to get at least one more season of the show that brings back Ralph Macchio and WIlliam Zabka as Daniel LaRusso and his nemesis Johnny Lawrence from The Karate Kid.
In season four, we will pick up right after the events of season three, when Daniel and Johnny combine forces to take on John Kreese (Martin Kove) at the All Valley Tournament. The new season will see the return of Karate Kid III villain Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith).
Fans are hoping that season four or five could see the return of Hillary Swank, who notably starred in the 1994 film, The Next Karate Kid.
