Deadline is reporting some new movement on the upcoming live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop for Netflix. Previously, it was announced that John Cho (Star Trek, Searching) would be headling the new series in the role of Spike Spiegel. Now it’s being reported that he’ll be joined by Elena Satine (The Gifted, Strange Angel) as Julia. The show will also feature Alex Hassell as Vicious, Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, and Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black.
The highly-anticipated new series is being produced by Tomorrow Studios, and is being written by Thor: Ragnarok Chris Yost. Check out this classic scene of Julia and Faye Valentine meeting for the first time:
Still no word on whether Ein will be portrayed by a real-life corgi or if he’ll be Andy Serkis in a mocap rig.
