Danny Strong, who most people remember as Jonathon of Jonathan, Warren and Andrew, they three geeks who tried to kill Buffy The Vampire Slayer has just signed on to write the two-part finale of the Hunger Games Saga.
While this might sound strange to people who just remember his ant-slayer days, Strong has built up a hell of a rep for himself in Hollywood as a writer and he recently won multiple Emmy Awards for the script of Game Change, the HBO mini series about the 2008 election.
While there are only three books in the Hunger Games saga, the studio is following other successful film franchises like Harry Potter (Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part One and Two) and The Twilight Saga (Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One and Two) by splitting the final book of the trilogy, MOCKINGJAY, into two movies.
The second chapter in the Hunger Games Saga, Catching Fire, is set for a November 23, 2013 release. Mockingjay is set for November 21, 2014 (Part I) and November 20, 2015 (Part II).
