While Captain Marvel was technically the first female-led MCU film, many fans believe that the honor should have gone to Scarlett Johansson with a Black Widow film. Well, it’s a little late, but Natasha Romanov is finally getting her own solo slot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and today we got some great news on who may be joining her.

It was previously announced that Fighting With The Family’s star Florence Pugh had already signed on, but now we have reports of two major talents who are in talks for big, unnamed roles in the film. First up is Stranger Things and Hellboy star David Harbour. It’s unclear where he fits into the picture, but it’s great to see the actor finding his way into more and more big roles. Second up is The Favourite star Rachel Weisz. She’s no stranger to big genre films with previous stints in the Mummy franchise alongside Doom Patrol star Brendan Fraser as well as the female lead role in Keanu Reeve’s film adaptation of Constantine.

We know almost nothing about the Black Widow film other than this, it is “an internationally-set story centering on Natasha Romanoff, a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from their grasp and becoming an agent of SHIELD and Avenger.”
