This is an unverified rumor, so take this news with all the skepticism that it deserves. Still, with a story this potentially big, we had to at least bring it to you. James Gunn and Peter Safran are set to unveil their first phase of DC films later this month, but a timeline of films has been allegedly leaked online from a story meeting at Warner Bros.
If the list is accurate, it’s going to be an exciting time. Here’s the rundown:
- 2024 – Superman: The Last Son
- 2025 – Green Lantern: The Ring of Power
- Late 2025 – Teen Titans: Judas Contract
- Early 2026 – Night of Green Arrow
- Late 2027 – Justice League: Tower of Babel
Humorously, the low quality of the image has now resulted in “Justice League: Power of Bagel” trending on social media.
The two big names that jump out at us here are Judas Contract and Tower of Babel. Both of them are considered to be iconic stories from DC.
In Judas Contract, a story written and edited by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez with artwork by Pérez, Romeo Tanghal, Dick Giordano, Mike DeCarlo, and Adrienne Roy, we see the Teen Titans go up against Deathstroke with massive implications for both the villain and the team moving forward. The story was originally published in several issues of Teen Titans in 1984, but it was also adapted into an animated feature in 2017.
Tower of Babel was a run of JLA that came out in 2000 from Mark Waid. In this story, Ra’s al Ghul hacks into Batman’s files and steals his secret contingency plans to neutralize each of his Justice League teammates if they ever go rogue. The team has to come together and take down Ghul before he enacts his plan to lower the global population.
