Yesterday, we reported on Disney+ removing the blood from a death scene and altering another violent scene in an episode of Falcon And Winter Soldier. Today, Disney is responding to the criticism and trying to explain what happened. According to the House of Mouse, it wasn’t them censoring the show (like they had previously done with the movie Splash), but it was actually a software issue and it should be rectified shortly. Here’s the statement from Disney:
“Eagle-eyed fans were right, an episode of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ had been altered on Disney+.I hear from a reliable source it was a software control issue and the wrong file was recently published accidentally. It’s being corrected immediately.”
So, now the only question that remains is… do you believe them?
