We’ve known for a while now that the new Hawkeye series for Disney+ would focus on Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton training up ihis successor, Kate Bishop. Today, Variety looks like it might have found who will be taking on that role.
According to the report, Bumblebee star and Oscar-award nominated actress Haliee Steinfeld is being considered for the role of Kate Bishop. While Variety has stated that Steinfeld has been offered the role, it doesn’t say that she’s accepted. If she does, it means that we would be looking at one of the first new members of the Young Avengers, a team that Marvel Studios seems very interested in bringing to film. Alternatively, we could be looking at another member of a potential A-Force team, the all-female Avengers team that looks like it’s being set up to star Jane Foster’s Thor, Kate Bishop, Scarlet Witch, Kamala Kahn’s Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and possibly Shuri.
