Disney at E3 showed off some of the first footage of their upcoming TRON Evolution prequel game to the “TRON Legacy” film, set to hit theaters later this year.
The demo shown had two distinctive game types: a third person action game and an awesome light cycle racer.
In the first, players get to parkour around walls and structures while wielding light rings. You’re pitted in the computer world known as the Gird and you go up against various sentries. The light cycle racing is pretty straight forward. There are two view to select from, with the popular choice being the 3rd person so you can see the gorgeous computer world environment and obstacles that try to throw you off your bike.
Check out the video of the demo below, in addition to the complete game trailer.

TRON: Evolution is one of the keys to unlocking the TRON mythology. The game’s story takes place before the “TRON: Legacy” events and provides insight into the film’s past. As an integrated entertainment experience, the film will reference elements of the game’s story. Fans will want to play the game to learn more about the TRON mythology seen in the film, but each entertainment experience will stand on its own.
