It was a big day for casting on Marvel’s Fantastic Four. Two huge names were added to the cast, one in a secret role, and one as one of the most speculated on roles of the whole film.
THR has reported that John Malkovich has signed on to the film in a secret role. The only thing we know he won’t be is Galactus, but we’ll get to that in a minute. It’s possible that he could play a government official, like Robert Redford did in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It is also possible that we could be looking at a a rumored, but not confirmed, bad guy like Mole Man or The Puppet Master.
Meanwhile, it was also announced that Ralph Ineson is now set to play Galactus The Devourer of Worlds. Ineson is an actor who you might not know by name, but you’ll know by his face and voice. He’s previously been seen as Dagmer Cleftjaw in HBO’s Game of Thrones, Amycus Carrow in Harry Potter, and as the Green Knight in the acclaimed A24 film of the same name. Currently, Inneson seems to be in a monster phase with his next two films being Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein and Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu.
The pair join a star-studded cast that already includes Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing), Julia Garner (Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer), and Paul Walter Hauser.
