Rumors abound when it comes to the upcoming Fantastic Four film, especially when it comes to casting. Lately, the big rumor was that Mila Kunis would be taking on the role of Susan Storm and that Adam Driver was in the lead for consideration as Reed Richards. Now, multiple leakers are reporting that the role of the Matriarch of Marvel’s First Family has been offered to The Suicide Squad/ The Barbie Movie star, Margot Robbie.

While nothing has been officially announced, it is now thought that Robbie would be playing Sue Storm, Adam Driver will be Reed Richards, Paul Mescal is allegedly cast as The Human Torch, and Antonio Bandaras has been cast as Galactus, Devourer of Worlds.

If you’re wondering why Ben Grimm/ The Thing hasn’t been listed among the rumors, it is because that character is part of the weirdest alleged leak, one that is sure to displease a lot of FF fans. @MyTimeToShineHello is reporting that Mila Kunis is actually closing in on signing up for the role on a female version of The Thing character. If that’s true, it’s possible that they are combining aspects of Ben Grimm with Darla Deering, the character that briefly filled the role in comics as Ms. Thing.

We actually really like Kunis. She’s a great actress, but if you pull a gender swap on Marvel’s first family, you are going to incite a level of fan anger that surpasses Zak Snyder’s firing and pretty much everyone’s reaction to The Last Jedi.

We’re hoping it is all a misunderstanding and that she is actually up for the role of Alicia Masters, but given the fact that the casting call for The Thing is calling specifically for Jewish actors, we can’t imagine them hiring someone who isn’t blind for that role.
