Final Trailer Released For ‘Wonder Woman’

There’s a lot riding on ‘Wonder Woman’. It could either breathe new life into the troubled DCEU franchise or it could serve as an anchor that drags it further down ahead of the release of Justice League. One of the interesting things about this film has been the marketing. In some trailers, it seems like they want you to think this is going to be almost a comedy/action film, but then you have other trailers where it looks like Zak Snyder woke up on the dark side of the bed. It will be interesting to see how much of that is just for the trailers and how much will end up in the film… and how balanced it all feels when the final end credits roll.

One interesting thing missing from the trailer is Ares. Given initial fan reaction to giant monster baby, Doomsday when he first appeared in trailers, this might be wise. Instead, this trailer places a lot of emphasis on the film’s mini-boss, Dr. Poison. If that name sounds familiar to you, it is because the character has been around in the Wonder Woman comics since 1942 in one form or another (the mantle was revived by the original character’s granddaughter in the modern era).

Along with Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, Wonder Woman stars: Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Connie Nielsen, Ewen Bremner, Lucy Davis, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Eugene Brave Rock, and Saïd Taghmaoui.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment comes the epic action adventure starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright, directed by Patty Jenkins.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
