The first ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ trailer is finally out and it feels like a ten year old retelling the adventures of 007, but in a good way. It’s over the top and borderline cartoonish, and it looks like it has all the fun of the original without Sam Jackson yell speaking every line like he does in every mother f’n movie he’s been in for the last 15 years.
That’s not to say there aren’t some points of concern, most of which center around the previously announced, but now visually confirmed return of Colin Firth. As you recall from the original Kingsman film, Firth played Harry Hart, a fellow Kingsman and the mentor of Eggsy. As you also may recall, he died. Now he’s back and sporting an eye patch and dyed hair.
I always get nervous when I see a previously thought dead character re-appear with darker hair and an eye patch. It almost always means they’ve either gone dark, or even worse, we are looking at their evil twin. This is what concerns me. I Really hope I’m wrong. The only thing that gives me hope that I am is that it appears he’s possibly being held prisoner in a padded cell. Also, from the look of the background of the cell, he’s been in there for quite some time.

In “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy…
