We get our official look at some concept art from Pixar’s much anticipated “Cars 2” courtesy of Disney’s annual report.
The art doesn’t show much… but one thing we can expect in “Cars 2” is that Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and the gang will be going international. In this image we can see McQueen along with an unidentified car in Tokyo, Japan with Mount Fuji in the background.
Cars 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 24, 2011. And if you can’t wait that long, there’s a good chance that a series of animated shorts related to the Cars franchise called “Cars Toons” will be on the Disney Channel before “Cars 2” drops.
