It’s shaping up to the be the year of the animals in animated film. We’ve got Zootopia, The Secret Life of Pets, Angry Birds, and now Sing.
The new movie tells the tale of a small time theater owner who hosts an American Idol style competition in an attempt to increase business.
The movie looks like it’s got a pretty great voice cast once you get past the requisite name power they needed to fund the film (Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey.) We can also look forward to the voice talents of: Taron Egerton, Reese Witherspoon, Nick Offerman, Seth MacFarlane, John C. Reilly, Peter Serafinowicz, Nick Kroll, Leslie Jones, and Jay Pharoah.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
