First Look At Gore Verbinski’s New Animated Film ‘Rango’ Starring Johnny Depp

Here’s your first look at Gore Verbinski’s new 3D character “Rango” voiced by Johnny Depp. Early this month we saw a teaser that made absolutely no sense involving a toy goldfish in a desert floating across the screen (teaser has been attached below).

While I can’t say I know much about the film, what I do know is that it is the story of a chameleon who has an identity crisis and decides to venture out in the world in order to rediscover himself.

A full trailer is said to be released tomorrow. Aside from Depp, “Rango” will also star Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone, and Timothy Olyphant.

You can expect “Rango” to drop on March 18, 2011.
