First Look At Upcoming ‘Jonah Hex’ Animated Short

Courtesy of MTV here’s your first look at the upcoming Jonah Hex animated short from “Batman: Under the Red Hood.” Like previous DC animated films, Jonah Hex is a bonus short featuring lesser-known character from the DC Universe. And unlike the big screen adaptation starring Josh Brolin, the animated Jonah Hex is looking a whole lot better.

Directed by Joaquim dos Santos, “DC Showcase: Jonah Hex” is penned by Joe R. Lansdale. The film is based on an original story by veteran “Jonah Hex” comic creators Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti.

Thomas Jane voices Hex, with Michael Rooker as Red Doc. Linda Hamilton and Michelle Trachtenburg are also rumored to provide character voices in the film.

“Batman: Under The Red Hood” hits shelves July 27 on DVD and Blu-Ray. Fans attending SDCC this year will also have the chance to watch this film live at the “Batman: Under The Red Hood” premiere panel.
