Ryan Gosling and the director of La La Land have re-teamed, but this time they didn’t make a musical. Instead, they have created a historical drama about Neil Armstrong and the lead up to The Apollo 11 mission where he became the first man to walk on the moon.
The first trailer for the film is as intense as you’d hope for a film about such a dangerous and exciting mission. If it is successful, ‘First Man’ could possibly join the club of classic space history films that currently includes The Right Stuff and Apollo 13. The good news is that director Damien Chazelle already has two Academy Awards under his belt for both La La Land and Whiplash.
A look at the life of the astronaut, Neil Armstrong, and the legendary space mission that led him to become the first man to walk on the Moon on July 20, 1969.
