We’ve been hearing that Harry Potter would be getting his own AR game in the same vein as Pokemon Go for a while now, but today is the first time we’ve actually gotten to see anything about the game which is titled Harry Potter: Wizards Unite!
The new game was actually created by Niantic, the company behind Pokemon Go, so it will probably have better playability than other clones like the recent AR games from Jurassic World and Ghost Busters. Both looked interesting, but got deleted from our phones within the first ten minutes.
“Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will reveal that magic is all around us, and allow players to be a part of Harry Potter’s rich world, through Niantic’s AR + real-world mobile game platform and the franchise expertise of WB Games San Francisco’s development and publishing team. By exploring real-world neighborhoods and cities across the globe, players will go on adventures, learn and cast spells, discover mysterious artifacts, and encounter legendary beasts and iconic characters.”
