Kristen Bell’s Veronica Mars helped start of the latest round of TV show revivals a few years back when they crowdfunded their way to a film that reunited the cast of the classic CW series. Now, the gang is getting back together again and this time it will be for a whole new TV series on Hulu. Today we got news that the new series will make its debut July 26, with an 8-episode run.
The show will feature returning cast members Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra, David Starzyk, Max Greenfield and Adam Rose, and newcomers J.K. Simmons, Dawnn Lewis, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Mary McDonnell.
Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.
