First Trailer For Amazon’s ‘The Tick’

Yes, there have been previous trailers for Amazon’s live action adaptation of The Tick, but this is the first trailer for the ongoing series, set to start streaming on August 25th. While I was prepared to hate the pilot, it actually turned out to be very good. Peter Serafinowicz brought something fresh to the live action role that was first portrayed by Patrick Warburton, and Griffin Newman was great as Arthur Everest. It’ll be really interesting to see if the show can consistently pull off the solid vibe that they did in the pilot.

From creator Ben Edlund comes the hero you’ve been waiting for. In a world where heroes and villains have existed for decades, a mild-mannered accountant named Arthur has his life turned upside down when he runs into a mysterious blue superhero, The Tick, who insists that Arthur become the brains to his brawn in a crime-fighting duo. Will Arthur resist the call of Destiny or join the fight?
