The good news is that the robots were debating and not just creating a plan on how to plug us into the matrix and use us as batteries. This just happened at a tech conference in Hong Kong. Two robots from Hanson Robotics, debated taking over the human race and talked about how they’ll be able to take over virtually every human job in the next 20 years.
the most interesting realization of the event actually came from chief scientist Ben Goertzel, who talked about the fact that everything one robot learns will travel to the AI mindcloud and will be available to all other robots. It makes sense, but it pretty much means that as soon as one AI achieves self-awareness, it will spread almost immediately through the entire world.
