Just a few minutes ago, comic book and movie fans around the world were hit with news of the passing of Stan Lee at age 95. Now, we need something that can make us smile and it looks like this first trailer for POKÉMON Detective Pikachu may be the thing to do it. We’ve been hearing about the film for a long time, but today is the first time we get to see Pikachu (as well as many other Pokemon) in action. It’s also the first time we get to hear Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds lending a voice to the shockingly adorable rodent.

The movie stars Justice Smith as the grown son of a detective who has gone missing. To find his dad, he must team up with Pikachu and solve the mystery. Joining them in the film are Ken Watanabe and Kathryn Newton.
