Admittedly, I’ve never read Westworld, but I’ve heard enough about the Michael Crichton novel of an old west town in the future, filled with robots who start attacking people and seemingly gain their own self-awareness.
With a team that includes J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub, Lisa Joy and The Dark Knight screenwriter Jonathan Nolan, I’m more than willing to give it a shot. Add to that a cast that includes some pretty spectacular talent: Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, and Clifton Collins, Jr, and it feels like they’d have to try hard to screw this one up.
