It’s been a couple decades since we’ve had a good Predator movie and it only seems fair that the man who might bring us one be an actor from the very first film. Shane Black has gone on to direct some great movies like The Good Guys and Iron Man 3, and the first look from this trailer does not disappoint.
In the new film, the Predators are coming to the suburbs and it’s up to some scientists and a couple assassins to stop them. The cast on the new flick includes Logan’s Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski. Unfortunately, the trailer is a little light on actual Predators, but we are hoping that they will come shortly in the form of a Red Band trailer. After all, the movie is set for an R rating, so you’ve got to imagine that they’ll play up the monsters and violence a little more than they did in this all-ages trailer.
The Predator opens September 14th.
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
