When it was announced that Bill Murray would have his own Christmas special on Netflix this year, it was assumed that there would be some sort of subversive undertone to it that would satisfy hipsters and their rampant cynicism. Now, it’s looking more and more like Murray and Sophia Coppola have actually done just what they said they were going to do. They created a new special that pays homage to the classics of TV yesteryear.
