It’s a slow news day, so this won’t take long, but the upcoming Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs and Shaw, starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham has just been renamed. Why was it renamed? It seems because the movie studios and marketing companies think that we are morons.
It seems that they think we don’t know that Hobbs and Shaw are from the Fast and Furious universe, nor that we will recognize the two characters that will probably appear on EVERY POSTER. To that end, the movie is now titled: ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’. It almost feels like they saw a poster for Solo: A Star Wars Story and somehow thought they were looking at pure genius…
