A few weeks ago, Warner Bros dropped “Masters of the Universe” on the curb faster than a pregnant prom queen drops a baby in a dumpster. The sad reality that He-Man might not have the chance to get back on the big screen while other toy properties like Stretch Armstrong and Battleship are getting greenlit left and right was becoming a bitter and sad fact.
Well, Orko fans can rejoice because Columbia has come to the rescue. According to the heatvision blog, they are now in negotiations to be preemptively picked up.
Warner Bros had bailed because they were never able to agree on just what the vision was supposed to be for the film. There hasn’t been any word on what Columbia wants to do with the license, but we are all hoping that it doesn’t suck.
